The Atelier · story, steps & materials
02 / 05Patience is the material.
Every board passes through 11 stations in our atelier. No step is skipped, no cure is rushed. Order matters here, so we number it.
Enter the atelierThe wood
Sourced only from certified sustainable forests. Walnut with chocolate depth, white oak with cathedral grain, padauk with its crimson fire. Chosen for longevity and character, never for cost.

The pattern
200+ individual blocks, cut and arranged by hand. Our end-grain technique exposes the annual rings, a mosaic of natural geometry unique to every board. No two are identical. None ever will be.

The finish
48 hours of curing under controlled pressure, hand-sanding through progressive grits, then sealed in oil and beeswax until the surface reads like glass and feels like skin.

The ingredients · nothing else touches the board
Three ingredients. Nothing else.
A premium board is a short recipe executed without compromise. Wood chosen for decades of use, a bond stronger than the wood, and a finish safe enough to eat from.
The wood
Certified sustainable forestsWalnut, white oak, teak, acacia, padauk, maple, and cherry, each chosen for hardness, grain beauty, food safety, and the way it ages across decades of daily use.
